The NFL has announced that Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will host Super Bowl LXII in 2028.
The game will be played in February 2028 and will mark the fourth time Atlanta has hosted the NFL’s showpiece event.
The announcement was made Tuesday during league meetings in Atlanta.
It is the first Super Bowl in Atlanta since February 2019, when the New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3.
The Super Bowl will be held in New Orleans this year before Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles get the rights in 2026 and 2027.

“Known for its hospitality and rich sports and entertainment culture, Atlanta is a world-class events destination and a perfect fit for Super Bowl 62,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.
“(Falcons owner) Arthur Blank has been a transformative figure in the Atlanta community and played a critical role in leading the effort to bring the Super Bowl back to the city.
“I have been fortunate to see firsthand how Arthur continues to drive community involvement and economic development in the Atlanta community through his unwavering commitment to sports and philanthropy.
“We look forward to working with him, the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlanta Sports Council and all of our partners on the ground to create an unforgettable experience for fans around the world in 2028.”
