Snoop Dogg will add “award show host” to his lengthy resume next month after being announced as the surprise voice of NFL Honors during Super Bowl week.
The rapper – and huge NFL fan – will take center stage at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans for the primetime awards show recognizing the NFL’s best players, performances and plays from the 2024 season.
The annual event takes place on February 6, three days before the Super Bowl, and promises a who’s who from the world of professional football.
Keegan-Michael Key hosted the event last year, but the league has now turned to Snoop Dogg in the hope of attracting a wider audience to the event.
The entertainment icon has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide. He has reached No. 1 on the international Billboard charts numerous times and was most recently a coach on NBC’s “The Voice.”
He launched the Snoop Youth Football League nearly two decades ago and has since seen more than forty of those kids reach the NFL.

NFL Honors debuted in 2012 and includes the announcement of The Associated Press annual awards, the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year and the Pro Football Hall of Fame class.
Travis Kelce has been nominated for Man of the Year and is expected to attend the event, while it is unclear whether girlfriend Taylor Swift will be in town.
Much depends on whether the Chiefs can make it to the big game again as they chase a three-peat under Andy Reid.
Last year, the Chiefs defeated the 49ers in Vegas for a second straight title, and Swift was there to catch all the action.
