NFL and Chargers star Austin Ekeler in mourning after the death of his agent, Cameron Weiss, age 38: ‘You’ve been like a brother to me’

LA Chargers star Austin Ekeler is mourning the loss of his agent, Cameron Weiss, who tragically passed away at the age of 38.
Ekeler took to Instagram to pay tribute to Weiss shortly after his agency, Dynamic Sports Group, confirmed his passing with their own statement.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Weiss died of cancer on Sunday.
Ekeler, 28, wrote: “Only one agent ever contacted me when I got out of college. Since then you have been like a brother to me. You will always live on in my story. Rest in peace, from a real one.’
Dynamic Sports Group said in a statement: “It is with the deepest hearts that we announce the passing of Cameron Weiss, our dear friend and business partner.

“His dedication, passion and unwavering commitment to his family, friends and clients will always be remembered.

According to the Dynamic Sports website, Weiss co-founded the company in 2019 and has dedicated his free time to philanthropic causes such as helping cancer research and saving animals.
28-year-old Ekeler, a running back. played for the Charges in Sunday’s season-opening game against the Miami Dolphins.
His team narrowly lost 36-34, with Ekeler scoring the first touchdown of the game.
