Next time, hire a designer! Hilarious snaps prove that some people’s planning decisions make zero sense
We all have our own preferences when it comes to how things should look, especially when it comes to the place we call home.
But sometimes the design choices of others can leave us scratching our heads – and in some circumstances they are so baffling as to make no sense at all.
People from all over the world have shared the most bizarre planning choices they’ve seen Positive side collected some of the best examples.
One of the photos showed an escalator and stairs that appeared to lead straight to a brick wall in a shopping center, while elsewhere a wall had been built right over a toilet seat, preventing people from opening the lid to use it.

Hire a designer next time! Elsewhere, a tap was installed directly above some electrical sockets
Watch out for the water! The collection of images included a photo of a bench placed just below a water pipe
Don’t go there! This photo captures a slide that was placed in a dangerous manner because for some reason it led straight into a tree
Another person saw railings placed above a bench, preventing people from actually sitting on it
Useless: Elsewhere, a wall was built right over a toilet seat, meaning people couldn’t even open the lid to use it
What’s the point of that? A fence has been installed to close off the sidewalk in the US, but people can easily walk around it
Doesn’t fit: There seemed to be a slight miscalculation when someone hung up their ceiling fan, causing the blades to hit the walls on either side
Destination…nowhere! This photo shows an escalator and stairs that appear to lead directly to a brick wall in a shopping center at an unknown location
Not such a great placement: an architect apparently decided to have a balcony on the side of a building with no access to it
Instead of using one device with two light switches, this person decided that two on top of each other work just as well
It turned out that a small error of judgment had been made when planning the exit in this European park – with the fence over the sidewalk
