Next stop, Wimbledon! Candice and David Warner’s eldest daughter Ivy, nine, shows off her insane tennis skills

Her parents are two of Australia’s most famous athletes.

And Ivy, Candice and David Warner’s eldest daughter at nine, proves that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to her sporting prowess.

In an Instagram Story Candice shared on Thursday, the proud mom captured Ivy showing off her impressive tennis skills.

The rising star showed her natural talent and agility on the field.

Ivy and her sisters Indi (8) and Isla (4) previously showed their tennis talent via their own Instagram account, with the support of their parents.

Candice is a retired professional ironwoman and surf lifesaver, while father David is a former international cricketer and former Test vice-captain.

Candice recently spoke on the Backstage with Cooper and Matty Johns podcast about how their family life will change following husband David’s retirement from Test cricket.

She spoke enthusiastically about the time David can now spend with her and their children, even though they are away for longer periods of time.

Candice admitted she was “relieved” by his retirement, but made it clear people’s expectations that David will now just be a stay-at-home dad.

β€œIt wasn’t a moment of sadness at all, which I think David was ready for – maybe I’m wrong – but it was just a relief,” she said.

‘For us it was a relief, but at the same time it meant a lot more cricket. What people probably don’t realise, they think “he’s stopped playing Test cricket, he’ll be at home a lot more”, but that’s not the case at all.

“This is a rarity, but after that he will be gone for almost four to five months.”

David shocked the sporting world when he announced his retirement from Test and One Day International cricket in June last year.

Last year he took the emotional decision to retire from one-day international cricket ahead of his final Test match.
