Newlyweds Sam Burgess and wife Lucy head out for brunch with daughter Robbie after they were serenaded by his brother George at their lavish Roman wedding

Sam Burgess and his new wife Lucy were the happy newlyweds on Saturday as they stepped out for brunch in Sydney.

The NRL stunner, 35, married Lucy, 33, last week at Villa Aurelia – a beautiful 17th century Baroque property located at the highest point within the walls of Rome last week.

After flying back to Australia earlier this week, the lovebirds cut loose figures as they enjoyed a morning walk and headed out for brunch.

They were joined by Sam’s mother Julie, while Lucy pushed their one-year-old daughter Robbie in a stroller.

Sam looked comfortable in beige shorts paired with a black T-shirt, while he accessorized with sunglasses and off-white Birkenstock sandals.

The former South Sydney Rabbitohs star appeared excited during the family outing with his wife, mother and daughter.

Lucy dressed in trendy activewear consisting of black flared leggings and a matching crop top.

She also donned sunglasses for the sunny day and wore a pair of silver and white running shoes.

Meanwhile, Julie echoed the activewear memo in a bright blue Adidas tank top and black 7/8 leggings.

She also wore a pair of Birkenstock sandals during the outing.

It comes as Lucy revealed her brother-in-law, fellow NRL star George Burgess, serenaded the couple on their wedding day.

On Saturday, Lucy took to Instagram to share a clip of George singing Hungry Heart by Ash Grunwald and Josh Teskey as she danced alongside her new husband Sam during their lavish ceremony.

“A heart that’s hurt before / Looking to feed this heart of mine / I was mad, mad, I’m sure,” George sang.

Lucy wrote alongside the clip: ‘This will be our song forever. Thanks Georgey, boy.’

The NRL coach and his beau shared the news on Instagram on Monday evening, alongside a carousel of breathtaking images captured at Villa Aurelia.

Lucy looked heavenly in a champagne-colored dress by designer Paula Nadal with a structured bodice that flowed into a voluminous floor-length skirt.

Meanwhile, Sam appeared to channel fictional character James Bond in a tailored black suit paired with a white pocket square.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs legend accessorized his look with a classic timepiece and a unique boutonniere on his lapel.

The couple appeared deeply in love in a black and white frame that saw them passionately lock lips in a garden setting surrounded by graceful floral arrangements.

In another image, the newlywed lovers are seen running with abandon through a cavernous room, smiling from ear to ear.

The blonde beauty added a touch of drama to her look with a long veil that tumbled behind her and also reached the floor as she held a dainty bouquet.

She wore her highlighted hair in loose, bouncy waves with a center parting for the ceremony and showed off her delicate features with a subtle makeup palette.

The couple made sure daughter Robbie was an integral part of the day’s celebrations.

Sam proposed to Lucy in June 2023, just nine months after they made their relationship public.

Three months later, the couple welcomed their first child together.

They were married for four years before splitting in 2019.
