On Wednesday, the tennis champion shared the good news with his followers on Instagram.

Alongside a carousel of photos from the wedding, Boris wrote: ‘New beginnings… I want to thank Victor Monteiro for his blessings and everyone who celebrated this special day with us. Let me introduce you to the Monteiro-Becker family.’

Boris and Lilian were married in an outdoor ceremony, surrounded by beautiful gardens. In the evening they celebrated their marriage with a four-layer buttercream cake covered in white roses.

The bride and groom spared no expense for the lavish ceremony. Lilian looked stunning in a strapless, pleated wedding dress with a veil, while Boris opted for a two-piece suit.

The wedding lasted three days and Boris and Lilian welcomed guests by boat and enjoyed drinks on the pier before the big day.

Both of Boris’ sons, Noah, 30, and Elias, 25, – from his first marriage – acted as witnesses.

The tennis star and commentator married Lilian, a political risk manager from the African island of Sao Tome and Principe, in front of around 150 guests.

Guests included former Dutch footballer Ruud Gullit and German actor and model Boris Kodjoe.

Lilian, who is 23 years his junior, has supported Boris through thick and thin after he served two and a half years in prison in the UK after hiding £2.5 million of assets and loans in a bankruptcy fraud case.

The Riviera hotspot, south of Genoa, is popular with the rich and famous. Rod Stewart married Penny Lancaster nearby in 2007.

Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas commented on Boris’ Instagram announcement: “Amazing man with an amazing wife. Hope to see you soon, hugs and love to your friend”

Una Healy added: ‘Congratulations to you both,’ while Boris’ son Elias typed three red heart emojis.

In February, it was reported that the couple were engaged and planning their wedding later that year.

When Boris arrived for the Boss show on Wednesday, he was seen with his wife, Noah, and Elias.

Lilian looked effortlessly chic in an oversized grey pinstripe suit, paired with a black blouse and stilettos.

She completed her look for the show with a pair of gold double hoop earrings and a statement watch, as well as a small Boss bag.

Meanwhile, Boris wore a gray shirt, while his sons opted for black outfits.

It is a sign of happiness for the tennis star, who has six Grand Slam titles to his name, including three Wimbledon titles, after a difficult period in which he was expelled from the United Kingdom.

Boris served eight months of his sentence in Wandsworth and Huntercombe prisons before being deported from Britain in December 2022, ruling out a return to his job as a BBC Wimbledon reporter.

However, he did contribute to Sky Italia’s coverage of SW19 action in the summer. He had lived in the UK since 2012 and was declared bankrupt in 2017 before being jailed in April 2022.

Ms Monteiro, who lives in London, is a political risk analyst. She holds three degrees, including a master’s degree in African studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, and speaks five languages, including German, according to the German newspaper Bild.

Born in the African island nation of São Tomé and Príncipe, she is the daughter of Victor Monteiro, the republic’s former defense minister who ran for president in 2014.

Lilian spent much of her childhood in Rome, where she attended a private school before going on to study at La Sapienza University.

She first came to London to study at the School of Oriental and African Studies, where she completed her master’s degree at the age of 25.

He reportedly proposed to Lilian in Milan Cathedral in 2021, but hopes of a fairytale wedding were dashed by the threat of a prison sentence.

She was always by his side during the trials and even blew him a goodbye kiss when he was locked up last year and criticized by the judge for showing no remorse.

After their release from prison, the couple, who lived in the UK, moved to Milan.

A source told The Sun: ‘Boris is incredibly grateful to Lilian for sticking with him during the ‘most difficult time’ of his life.’

‘He said, “She saved me, and I will never forget her for that. She is the woman of my new life!”‘
