Newly-declassified intelligence documents reveal how CIA officials saw two ‘flying disc’ UFOs in the Soviet Union during the Cold War

A new batch of declassified documents about the assassination of John F. Kennedy could further fuel the UFO fever gripping the nation.
Buried in a treasure trove of more than 1,103 documents is an excerpt from a 1955 telegram obtained by the US Air Force from “three trustworthy American observers” who saw flying discs over the Soviet Union.
A Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) official, senator and military personnel reported that “two mound-shaped and round unconventional aircraft resembling flying saucers or flying saucers took off almost vertically.”
The document describes the craft spinning and shooting “sparks or flames” before passing over the train.
The description of the incident in the “Trancaucasus region” details, “two mound and circular unconventional aircraft resembling flying saucers or flying saucers were seen taking off almost vertically with a minute apart.”
The excerpt of a cable received from the US Air Force reveals these as Efron, Senator Richard Russell and Lieutenant Colonel EU. Hathaway.
The files relate to the assassination of the president in 1963, and a batch of 1,103 was released on June 27, bringing the total number of unsealed documents to 90 percent.
The move is part of 1992 legislation, the John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act, which required officials to publish all records by October 2017.
However, delays were incurred by President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump due to guidance from the FBI and CIA.
The National Archives and Records Administration has released more than 2,600 records since April.
The cable contains a name previously redacted from all other documents: Rueben Efron.
Efron allegedly followed the mail correspondents of Lee Harvey Oswald, JFK’s assassin, months before the president was shot.
He traveled between Atjaty and Adzhijabu in the Soviet Union on October 5, 1955 – it is not known why the three Americans were in the USSR at the time.
The official CIA document states that the “reported sighting of unusual aircraft in the USSR” was made by “three reliable American observers.”
“Both flying disk planes took off relatively slowly to about 6,000 [feet]then the speed increased sharply in level flight, both in a northerly direction,” the report reads.
The three US officials reported seeing two searchlights “aimed almost vertically” about one to two miles south of the railroad.

“After the sighting, Soviet trainmen became agitated and lowered the curtains and refused permission to look out the windows,” the document reads.
“American observers firmly believe that these unconventional aircraft are flying saucers or disc planes.”
Newly released CIA agent Efron is also making waves online, as investigators and investigators suggest his operations show that Oswald had been on the US government’s radar for some time.
Efron and the two other men’s report on flying saucers comes as many officials will speak before Congress about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).
At 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, several witnesses will take the stand to explain what they saw or know about UAPs.
Air Force and intelligence veteran David Grusch — whose staggering claims about an illegal UFO crash retrieval program operating in the Secret World was made public in June — will be among those giving sworn testimony.
“We have three witnesses with dynamite,” Congressman Tim Burchett said Tuesday.
‘They are professionals. They’re military,” the Tennessee Republican pointed out. “It’s people who were there and saw what they saw.”
The other two witnesses, announced via press release this morning, will be retired US Navy fighter pilots, Commander David Fravor, witness to the 2004 Nimitz “Tic Tac” UFO; and Lieutenant Ryan Graves, whose naval squadron captured the infamous GIMBAL and GOFAST UFOs on infrared video in 2015.
Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD) are leading an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that mandates public disclosure of government records related to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP).
“For decades, many Americans have been fascinated by mysterious and unexplainable objects, and it’s been a long time since they got answers,” Schumer said.
“The American public has a right to learn about technologies of unknown origin, non-human intelligence, and unexplained phenomena. We are working not only to declassify what the government has previously learned about these phenomena, but also to create a pipeline for future research that can be made public.”
