Newell Highway crash: Two people dead, road closed
Two men have died and the Newell Highway in northern New South Wales is closed after a horrific crash on Monday night.
On Monday evening around 10 p.m., emergency services were called to the scene and found two B-doubles that had collided with each other.
Both male drivers, aged 25 and 63, died at the scene.
A report is being prepared for the information of the coroner.
The Newell Highway is closed north of Moree at Boggabilla Road and south of Boggabilla at the intersection with Bruxner Highway.
The highway is expected to remain closed until late today while the accident scene is investigated and cleared.
Motorists are advised to avoid this area.
