Newcastle goalkeeper Joao Pedro has pledged his future to Championship side Watford by signing a new contract until the summer of 2028.
The 20-year-old was linked with numerous Premier League clubs over the summer, including the Magpies, but he has now signed a new deal that puts an end to speculation about a possible January exit.
The Brazilian has scored 15 goals in 83 games since his arrival at Vicarage Road in January 2020, having initially agreed to a contract with Fluminense as a youth player more than a year earlier.

The attacker has struck a new deal with the Hornets that will keep him at the club until 2028
Pedro has scored twice so far and provided a further two assists in nine Championship games so far this campaign as the Hornets are currently 10th in the standings.
It was only Newcastle interested in picking up the youngster, while Everton also kept an eye on him all summer.
The Toffees have even launched an investigation into Pedro, in a deal worth £25m plus a further £5m in add-ons.

However, Pedro denied rumors of a possible exit on the day of the transfer deadline by saying on social media that his future remains at Vicarage Road.
He wrote on Instagram: ‘I’m very happy here. I like being with Watford and I want to do more with them.
“I spoke to the board yesterday and I am fully committed to the club and looking forward to a successful season. Let’s go Hornets.’
Watford already sold striker Emmanuel Dennis to Nottingham Forest in the summer, making it vital that they keep Pedro.
The Hornets are determined to regain promotion to the Premier League after being relegated last season.
Holding on to key figures like Pedro will play a big part in Rob Edward’s side mission to get back to the top.
