Newcastle fans have enjoyed one of the best introductory videos for their new away kit for the 2024-25 season.

The video, which focuses on supporters travelling to an away match on the train, features a host of current and former Newcastle stars.

The kit features burgundy and navy rings, which strongly resembles Newcastle’s famous away kit from the 1995-96 season.

Newcastle fans will no doubt enjoy the video, which features many subtle references to the club’s past and present.

The combination of nostalgia and focus on the present will undoubtedly further boost sales of a kit that is likely to become hugely popular.

Current Newcastle players featured in the video include Jacob Murphy, who performs his infamous wave, referencing the time he waved opponent Duje Caleta-Car off the pitch after he was shown a red card.

Joelinton is also present as he phones Sean Longstaff, while Newcastle boss Eddie Howe reads the book of the legendary Sir Bobby Robson. Assistant Jason Tindall can be seen telling the others on the train to ‘be quiet’, while no fewer than seven Magpies legends are involved.

For example, Rob Lee hands out Newcastle Brown Ales to fans, while former goalkeeper Shay Given shows his catching skills are still intact.

Nolberto Solano can be seen playing his trumpet, and Steve Watson, Lee Clark and Darren Peacock can also be heard. At the end of the video, David Ginola takes centre stage, saying: ‘On to the journey’.
