Newcastle United fans were attacked by the echoes of Paris Saint-Germain in Paris on Monday evening.
Videos of Newcastle fans trying to block doors as torches and chairs were thrown by echoes of the French team emerged on social media after they located where England fans gathered 24 hours before Tuesday’s Champions League match.
The Newcastle United Supporters’ Club wrote: ‘Stay safe in Paris tonight. Stay together and take care of each other.’
One of the videos on social media appeared to show traveling Newcastle fans trying to stop PSG fans from storming a bar they were at.
Another video shows glasses being smashed and windows broken as tensions escalate.

A third video showed a large group of hooded individuals, who were tagged on social media as: ‘PSG ultras looking for Toon’.
In a bid to curb violence ahead of Tuesday’s match, police had previously said pubs catering to away fans would have to close early to reduce the risk of clashes with PSG supporters.
Intelligence raised growing concerns about potential trouble after PSG fans were involved in incidents in the North East with Newcastle fans following the first match between them, which Newcastle won 4-1.

Trouble in Paris brings back bad memories for Newcastle fans.
Earlier in this group stage, a Newcastle supporter was stabbed in Milan by a gang who had followed him as he walked back to his hotel ahead of the opening Champions League match the following evening.
The stricken fan was ambushed by seven or eight people as he walked back from a night out in Milan’s Navigli district, where many Newcastle fans gathered.
Newcastle are bottom of the Champions League group ahead of Tuesday’s match and know they probably need to win to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stages alive.
