Mohammed Kudus was less than impressed when one of Saturday’s ball boys at St James’ Park refused to give up his stool to allow him to have his ‘seat party’.

Kudus scored West Ham’s second goal against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon and wanted to celebrate by taking a seat in the ball boy’s seat.

He ran up to the youngster and asked if he could use the stool for his signature party. However, the young Newcastle fan refused to move.

Kudus looked confused by the child’s reaction and continued to point at the stool before his teammates lifted him onto the billboard.

The West Ham striker celebrated similarly against Arsenal when he scored in the Carabao Cup last November.

Fans couldn’t help but laugh at the situation, with Newcastle supporters praising the ball boy for ‘sticking it’.

One fan wrote: ‘Lmao the ball boy from Newcastle said no to kudus when he tried to use his chair for the party.’ Another said: ‘The ball boy is a hero’.

One fan said: ‘All the ball boys across the country have been instructed not to give Kudus their seats. My husband’s party shook up the entire sport.’

Another joked: ‘The ball boy is cheeky. Kudus didn’t stand a chance.’ Another agreed, joking: “The ball boy says Kudus should sit somewhere else.”

The ‘Kudus festival’ has become a phenomenon. Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah copied it and the entire West Ham Under-21 team reproduced it.

And it was considered iconic when Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Rasmus Hojlund did it together after Garnacho scored for Manchester United against West Ham last month.

About the celebration, Kudus told The Times: “I wanted to do something out of the box because most celebrations are quite normal, sliding and all that. I wanted to add more meaning to my scores.

‘It’s all about sitting down, resting after a goal, but there’s literally no deeper meaning than that.’

‘Even when I did it (for the first time), there were rumors of people doing it before, although I didn’t see anyone doing it that way. But yes, (other players) can do it – but soon they will have to pay taxes!

“I just see it as something to make people happy and worth the ticket they bought. Football is about the three points and the emotions at stake, but football is also entertainment and there is more to it. Yes. I’m still just having fun in the playground.’
