Newcastle and Crystal Palace are reportedly leading the race to sign Argentine winger Matias Soule from Juventus next month.
The Magpies are facing an injury crisis and could strengthen their options in January due to their severely weakened squad.
Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, according to Football Italiahave claimed that Eddie Howe's side and Palace are leading the race to sign Soule, who is currently on loan at Frosinone.
The 20-year-old star has impressed in mid-table, scoring six goals in 12 Serie A appearances so far.
Soule made 21 appearances for Juventus before leaving on loan this season and also made seven appearances for the Argentina Under-20 side.
