In an unusual scene, a female passerby stopped to comfort the injured passenger as paramedics treated him as he lay “in agony” on the grass next to the wreckage
The names of the two victims have not yet been released.
The impact of the crash was so severe that the car’s engine was pushed through the engine compartment and into the passenger compartment, 9News reported.
WA Police Inspector Vic Hussey said the accident scene was ‘very confrontational’, with the entire front of the Honda horribly disfigured.
“The vehicle is in very, very bad shape and it was quite difficult for us to determine what kind of car it was when we arrived,” he said.
Both teenagers in the car had to be freed by emergency services.

Witness Oscar Poppelwell told 9news that there was no sound of screeching tires or brakes before the impact.
He said the car went “airborne” after climbing the curb and then hit the tree.
Mr Poppelwell also said there were three booms from the impact followed by people nearby rushing to the stricken vehicle.
