Celebrations rang out across East 161st Street in the Bronx as fans poured out of Yankee Stadium after a dramatic World Series victory on Tuesday night.
On the verge of being swept in front of their home fans, the New York Yankees forced a Game 5 against the Los Angeles Dodgers with an 11-4 victory – their first World Series victory in 15 years.
After the triumph, several adrenaline-fueled fans spoke to Fox 5 New York outside the venue.
“The comeback is underway, that’s right,” said one fan. ‘Do you see a grand slam in the World Series? That’s it!’ another added.

Speaking to reporters outside the stadium, another fan urged his Yankees to take it one game at a time, not focus on anything else!
New York’s Anthony Volpe smashed a grand slam to keep the Yankees’ title hopes alive in the biggest moment of the 23-year-old’s career.
Volpe was the hero the five boroughs needed in front of a sold-out home crowd. He blasted a 380-foot home run to center field in the third inning and raced home again in the eighth.
Outfielder Alex Verdugo added an RBI, and catcher Austin Wells notched a solo home run, while second baseman Gleyber Torres had a three-run homer. Slugger Aaron Judge finally came alive after a dismal series with an RBI.
Verdugo brought some life to the crowd when he drove in Volpe to cut the Dodgers’ lead in the second inning as the desperate New York fans let out a deafening roar.
With the bases loaded in the next inning, Volpe answered their prayers with a monster homer that soared over center field.
From 2-1 down, the Bronx Bombers went up 5-2 before recording by far the biggest win in the classic East vs. achieved the West series.

The last team to come back from a 3-0 deficit and win the World Series was the 2004 Boston Red Sox against the Yankees.
