A New York mom has gone viral after claiming she caught a “possible trafficker” following her and filming her while she was at Walmart with her daughter.
TikTok user @dd_escapades detailed her terrifying account in a now viral video, which has been viewed 8.9 million times. She was at the megastore when she pulled out her cellphone and started answering the suspicious man.
“I don’t know him, and he follows me and films me,” she explained after secretly turning the camera towards him and zooming in.

“Now he’s gone after he realized I started recording him,” she added after the footage was cropped to the empty space where the stranger had stood.
The mother said she showed the clip to a Walmart employee who agreed it was “really weird” and “creepy.” The employee then went to get her store manager to get the man out of the building.
“I don’t know if he’s just a weirdo. I don’t know if he’s drugs or drunk, or if he’s part of some kind of human trafficking, but always be aware of your surroundings and record and report,” she advised.

In a follow-up video, @dd_escapades shared that the man has been “identified” after posting footage of him allegedly following her online.
“He’s a registered sex offender, Class 1. He’s been arrested for assault and rape. We know where he lives. We know his phone number. We know his name,’ she said.
The TikTok user noted that both her video and Walmart’s security footage were shared with the man’s probation officer as evidence.
“The reason you videotape and take pictures is that you can give it to the police and post it anywhere on the scene and shoot that person’s face everywhere so they can’t hide and get caught,” she explained.
The mother claimed in a follow-up clip that the man has been identified as a ‘registered sex offender’ who had been ‘arrested for molestation and rape’
She added that he had been paroled just the night before she shot the video and said she had filed charges against him.
The man allegedly told his former probation officer that he was looking at her, not her daughter. “It’s disgusting and disturbing anyway,” she commented
The mother later said she filed charges against the man after discovering that his parole ended at midnight on August 8, the day before she recorded her video. If he was still on parole, he would have been arrested immediately, she noted.
She said she has already signed the report form and says she is accusing him of stalking, videotaping and taking photos.
“Now it’s going to a judge, and he’s being sued,” she said. “I hope this creep doesn’t show up in court. That’s an automatic arrest warrant.’
‘The officer [on the case] spoke to the [man’s former] probation officer, and she told him that if it made me feel better, he wasn’t interested in my daughter. It was me,’ she continued. [It] it doesn’t make me feel better. Either way, it’s disgusting and disturbing.”
