A high school teacher told her students that Nintendo characters have different sexual and gender identities, as she claimed that Mario is gay while Princess Peach is a “massive lesbian.”
Remy Elliott, who works for the New York City Department of Education, made the comments in a presentation to students during an after-school meeting of the Gay Straight Alliance club.
In a video uploaded to his TikTok account, he shared the powerpoint, claiming that Princess Daisy is “hella bisexual, polyamorous” while Luigi is a “demisexual dude.”
Elliott, who has more than 81,000 followers and identifies as bisexual, removed the videos and made her profile private.
She is certified under the name Jeremy William Elliott and currently teaches ninth grade at the DOE, although she previously taught younger grades, foxnews reports.

“So the GSA at the school I teach at decided to do a PowerPoint night, and I decided to combine two of my favorite interests into one,” she said in the original clips.
“This is a dubious assignment of genders and sexualities to classic Nintendo characters.
‘Yoshi is a trans man. He’s just living the best life of his with Berto, and his top surgery turned out amazing.
‘No scars at all. We love that for him.
‘Of course, that means that Berto is a trans girl as’.
Top surgery is the removal of breast tissue when a woman becomes a man.
She goes on to call Princess Peach a ‘massive cis lesbian’ with an attraction to Princess Daisy.
Meanwhile, Daisy is described as ‘hella bisexual, polyamorous…and she’ll ask you out in front of you.’
Elliott continues: “Mario…he came out so long ago that most people forgot about him and he probably marched on Stonewall and quietly says some transphobic things, but he means well.”
She adds: ‘Next is Luigi.
“Luigi is totally a demisexual guy, but he calls himself queer because it’s too confusing.
‘He has great bi-wife energy.

‘Trans? Trans. And she’s probably bisexual, but like, don’t think about it too much because if you don’t think about it, it’s not a problem.
‘Demisexuality’ refers to people who are only sexually attracted to another person if they first form a strong emotional bond or connection with them.
He goes on to call Toad “a pre-transitioned trans girl.”
“She already has a whole new wardrobe of thigh-highs and skirts for when she goes out,” Elliot says in the clip.
In other clips, the teacher revealed that she had spoken to her school’s vice principal about telling her class that she is polyamorous.
Polyamory refers to people who are involved in multiple romantic or sexual relationships.
In a video seen by foxnewsshe said she prides herself on “being a very open teacher about her life.”

Elliott frequently uploads videos to TikTok in which he talks about the conversations he has with his students.
In other clips, she discusses whether or not to talk to her classes about the fact that she is polyamorous, which means she has multiple sexual and romantic partners.
“And one of the things I’m very open about is my sexuality,” Elliott explained.
‘I have a trans flag, a bi[sexual] flag, a non-binary flag on my desk at work. But there’s one thing I’m not open about, and that’s being poly.[amorous].
“I don’t know how to handle that conversation, because even though I know kids are more accepting of things like homosexuality, bisexuality, all of that, polyamory isn’t in the conversation.”
He added that he didn’t like feeling like he was “lying” to his students.
After speaking with her administrators, they agreed that it would be appropriate for Elliott to talk to her students about their relationships.
He then lashed out at ‘conservatives’ who didn’t have such open discussions with children.
She said: ‘This is not a conversation the Conservatives are having at all. They’ve decided… like, you can’t do this at all, there’s no place for it.
‘And that just shows such a lack of thought and care. They are not understanding with people. They are children as people and where they are.
When contacted about Nintendo’s post, Elliott said foxnews digital that ‘the slides you mentioned were created in jest for humor’s sake’.
He added: “It’s also weird to point out that they have genders and sexualities, since being a cisgender straight man is, in fact, a gender and a sexual orientation.”
“As part of my employment at the DOE, despite being hired primarily as an English teacher, teaching our established and vetted sex education curriculum was not just something I was hired to do, it was something I was trained to do.” and they qualified.”
He added that he only discussed his personal life “within reasonable limits.”
