  • Social media sleuths identified the grab as attorney Anthony Orlich
  • Orlich’s law firm said on LinkedIn on Tuesday that he no longer works at the firm

A New York City attorney has been fired from his law firm after he was videotaped ripping the wig off a local singer’s head in a video that went viral on TikTok.

Lizzy Ashleigh, a 29-year-old musician from Brooklyn, posted the video of her arguing with the man, who has since been identified by social media sleuths as Anthony Orlich, as he grabs the bright green wig.

The video begins seconds after he allegedly took the hair, with Ashleigh angrily asking, “Sir! For what f***ing reason?!’

“This guy just took off my wig and kept walking,” she wrote in the caption of the post, which has garnered more than 437,000 views. “There are demons in New York, I swear.”

Leader Berkon Colao & Silverstein — the company Orlich apparently works for — announced Wednesday that he had been fired in a LinkedIn post.

“We have been made aware of a video of a non-work related incident involving one of our employees on social media.

“We take any inappropriate behavior by an employee seriously, both inside and outside the workplace. This employee is no longer with the Firm.’

The company also separately confirmed to the New York Post that, without disclosing the employee’s name, he had been fired.

The incident took place on West 35th Street and 6th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

In the first video, the attacker appears to be responding to his companions telling him to apologize when he asks, “What for?”

“Why did you take off my wig?” asked Ashleigh angrily. “Why did you think that was a good thing to do?” she continued. ‘Why did you do that? Why do you think that’s okay?’

The man continues to grin on his face, as Ashleigh says, “It’s not funny. You do not even know me. Do you hate women or something?’

Users on both TikTok And Twitter have said they believe Orlich is the perpetrator, though the law firm did not confirm this when they announced their employee was no longer with the firm.

Ashleigh’s problem, according to a separate TikTok, was that while she was wearing a wig, it was sewn into her actual hair, meaning the pull injured her neck.

She has since filed a police report but has stopped commenting on the incident, according to her most recent TikTok post.

“I can’t say more at this point as I continue legally. I appreciate everyone who has identified, called and emailed!.”

DailyMail.com has reached out to the NYPD for comment on the incident.

They said assault had indeed been reported, but they had not yet identified the mail that took the wig.

They noted that Ashleigh had suffered a ‘minor injury’ but no arrests had been made and the investigation was still ongoing.
