New York Jets star risks huge fine with shocking social media rant at NFL refs after loss to Seattle: ‘You f***ing suck!’

In the wake of yet another soul-crushing loss, New York Jets cornerback DJ Reed took to social media to fire up the officials in a move that will almost certainly result in him being fined.

After starting the season 2-1, the Jets have now lost nine of their last ten games. But Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks might have been the final nail in the coffin.

Instead of looking internally at the team’s collapse, Reed decided to point the finger at the officiating crew of Carl Cheffers, Dyrol Prioleau, Martin Hankins, Mike Carr, Nathan Jones, Robin DeLorenzo and Brandon Cruse.

The Jets were assessed 12 penalties for 83 yards lost that day, compared to Seattle’s five penalties for 50 yards.

“@NFLIt sucks coaching y’all FXCKING y’all should be ashamed of y’all!”, Reed tweeted shortly after the game ended.

NFL fans quickly laughed at Reed’s comments, saying the Jets have far more issues to worry about than the officiating.

New York Jets cornerback DJ Reed left the officials after a loss to the Seahawks on Sunday

Reed tweeted at the officials, tagging the official account

“Y’all are 3-9,” read one of the replies to Reed’s tweet.

Another said, “My brother in Christ, you play for the Jets. You are not legally allowed to tell others that they are worthless.’

One Seahawks fan wrote, “Do we really have this excuse? That was by far the worst football game I’ve seen from the Seahawks in the last decade. It’s beyond sad that you couldn’t win that.’

Sports reporter Trey Wingo noted, “This… is going to be an expensive tweet.”

One Jets fan said, “It’s going to be annoying, but he’s getting paid by a good team next year so it’s all good.”

Other Jets fans defended Reed’s position. One said: ‘Finally a player calls them out. “I’m sorry about your wallet because they’re going to punish you big time, but nothing will change if the players don’t demand change.”

“Here for this, but the team sucks so whatever,” said a second Jets fan, while a third noted, “He’s not wrong.”

While some Jets players may feel slighted by the officials, it doesn’t change the fact that Gang Green failed to score in the final two and a half quarters of the game.

Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers blew another lead as New York fell to 3-9 on the season

Jets kick returner Kene Nwangwu returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown with 10:40 remaining in the second quarter, giving the Jets a 21–7 lead.

With a two-touchdown lead, the Jets were probably hoping they could extend their lead – or at least go into halftime without further damage.

Instead, quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw an interception that was returned 92 yards for a touchdown by former Jets player Leonard Williams. On their next drive, Seattle kicker Jason Myers made it a 21-16 game entering the second half.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Seahawks were able to cut the lead to two points with a field goal.

On their next drive, Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet punched in an eight-yard touchdown run to take a 26–21 lead.

With little time left, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers couldn’t produce anything and they turned the ball over on downs to lose the game.

This season, the Jets are 0-5 in situations where Rodgers had a chance to produce a game-winning drive.

Next up for the Jets is a trip to Miami to take on the division rival Dolphins next Sunday.
