According to both ESPN And NFL NetworkCook signs a one-year contract for up to $8.6 million.

The running back was released from the Vikings in June after six seasons.

Cook appeared to confirm the news by citing ESPN’s Adam Schefter’s report with a green heart.

Named a Pro Bowler for the past four years, the 28-year-old gives Aaron Rodgers an experienced backfield presence alongside fellow Breece Hall.

Dalvin Cook has ended his free agency by signing a one-year contract with the New York Jets

Cook visited the team last month and appeared to flirt with the team throughout the off-season.

His agent, Zac Hiller, fueled speculation that his client could end up in New York when he spoke to podcaster Paul Andrew Esden Jr.

“I think the Jets have a great thing,” Hiller said in July.

‘They’re all in on it. They want to win a Super Bowl. I think they want to bring a Super Bowl to New York City. They brought an incredible Hall of Fame quarterback into the first ballot.

“Those (types of players) don’t just happen. (Rodgers) is a complete franchise-city-changing player and that’s someone you absolutely want to play 100 percent with at some point in your career.”

With Cook on the roster, expectations for the Jets will only get higher.

Hall was impressive as a rookie before tearing his ACL, Garrett Wilson could soon become one of the league’s top wideouts after winning Offensive Rookie of the Year, and Rodgers, of course, gives the team the most accurate passer in some time.

Cook and the Jets begin their season on September 11 against the Bills.
