The New York Jets are forced to silence Aaron Rodgers after the quarterback was threatened with legal action over his comments about Jimmy Kimmel and Jeffrey Epstein.

That's the view of radio host Gregg Giannotti after Rodgers joked that late-night host Kimmel could be on financier Epstein's list of disgraced associates, prompting an expletive-laden response from the comedian.

ABC star Kimmel threatened to sue the four-time NFL MVP, labeling him an “asshole” and accusing him of endangering his family. The pair have been eating beef since 2021.

Rodgers' comments came on his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee show, and WFAN host Giannotti believes Jets owner Woody Johnson needs to find a way to take Rodgers off the air.

“He needs to stop that show and the Jets need to do something about it,” he said. “You can't do the show anymore. You can't. You're killing us. You killed us for a whole year.”

Giannotti added, “If I'm Woody Johnson, I'll find a way to get you what McAfee pays you. I'll find a way for you,'

“Robert Kraft has found all kinds of ways to get Tom Brady paid. I'll find a way for you to get that million dollars… I'll put you in charge, you can be the CEO of Q-tips at Johnson & Johnson, whatever it is, I'll get you that million dollars. '

However, speaking about 'Boomer and Gio' on Wednesday, Giannotti suggested the team lacks the 'guts' to hold out against Rodgers.

'They don't have the guts to stand up to him and say that. He'll say, “This is what I do. They pay me, I'm happy to do it and screw you.” And that will be a fight.'

The comments that landed Rodgers in hot water came on ESPN earlier this week.

“There are a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are hoping that list doesn't come true,” he said.

A furious Kimmel responded to “Apart from the obviously fake nonsense that soft-brained idiots like you can't seem to distinguish from reality,” the comedian grumbled.

“Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep up the good work and we will discuss the facts further in court.'

During Wednesday's episode of the show, McAfee addressed the controversy and apologized for Rodgers' accusation.

“There were some things that, probably, I mean, we'll have to hear from Aaron about that, were intended as a bullshit joke that could become a very serious allegation that leads to a huge story overnight,” McAfee said. .

“But I understand exactly why Jimmy Kimmel felt the way he felt, especially with his position, but I think Aaron was just trying to talk… we apologize for being a part of it. I can't wait to hear what Aaron has to say about it. Hopefully those two can work this out.”
