New York Giants make shock decision on quarterback Drew Lock after eight losses in a row
The New York Giants will keep Drew Lock in the starting quarterback position against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, if he is healthy.
On Monday, head coach Brian Daboll said Lock is undergoing an MRI for an undisclosed injury but will remain in the starting lineup as long as he is able to suit up.
Drew Lock will start for the Giants against the Ravens if he’s healthy enough, Brian Daboll tells reporters. He is undergoing tests,” Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported on X.
Lock started in New York’s two most recent losses to New Orleans and Dallas after split minutes with Tommy DeVito against Tampa Bay. The Giants are on the verge of losing their ninth straight game.
Last weekend, the Giants suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Saints when a potential tying field goal by Graham Gano was blocked as the clock expired.
To add salt to the 14-11 loss, Lock was sent for x-rays after the game while the Giants awaited the results.

The Giants’ catastrophic season has been synonymous with their struggles at the quarterback position, which has gone through three different players.
On November 18, Jones was benched for DeVito due to his poor performance and ultimately parted ways with the team to join the Minnesota Vikings.
Lock earned the starting nod after DeVito suffered an injury and remains the first option despite DeVito being good enough to compete. Yet neither has done enough to lead the Giants back into the winning column.
