New York assistant DA quits after being caught by pedophile hunters ‘trying to meet a 13-year-old boy’

A New York prosecutor who handled child abuse cases suddenly resigned, just days after he was filmed running from vigilante pedophile hunters in a Target parking lot.

William CC Kemp-Neal, a Fordham law school graduate, was reportedly meeting a 13-year-old boy outside the Mount Vernon store when he was confronted by members of the group Dads Against Predators.

When someone approached him to ask if he was ‘Marcus’, the 30-year-old man quickly ran across the grounds but was grabbed by a passer-by and thrown to the ground.

“That guy who came out of nowhere is a tough guy,” one viewer wrote.

“He’s about two feet shorter and he took him down. Awesome!”

Kemp-Neal earned $84,990 as an assistant district attorney in the Bronx District Attorney’s Office before abruptly resigning on July 12. New York Post reported.

He has written articles for the Fordham Law Review on the topic of environmental racism and handled sexual assault, harassment and child abuse cases for Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark.

Dramatic footage shows the vigilantes chasing Kemp-Neal as he sprints away from them, with one shouting: ‘Excuse me everyone, this man right here has appointment to meet a 13 year old boy. This man is a pedophile in your city.

“Marcus is a pedophile trying to meet a 13-year-old boy,” another voice says. “Let’s go.”

By the time they catch him, he’s already been grabbed by a passerby and dragged to the ground. The prosecutor is put in a chokehold by a passerby.

“Get him, he tried to fuck a 13-year-old boy,” shouts one of the men who gave chase.

“Oh no,” Kemp-Neal insists, trying to hide his face with a baseball cap before it is ripped from his head by a pursuer.

“What are you doing, Marcus?” he asks. “You’re trying to meet a 13-year-old boy? You wanted to take him out for a milkshake, right Marcus?”

“No, I didn’t,” he replies as he struggles with his captor before being pulled to his feet.

Footage posted by the group Dads Against Predators shows members approaching Kemp-Neal as he waited outside a Target store in Mount Vernon on July 13.

Mount Vernon Police officers were called to the scene but made no arrests.

A spokesperson said in a statement that they had “encountered multiple individuals making allegations of misconduct” and promised a “comprehensive investigation.”

The prosecutor has not been accused of any wrongdoing, but a spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Service said his work for them was done.

“William Kemp-Neal served here as an ADA from June 28, 2020 to July 17, 2024,” he said in a statement. “He resigned from his position.”
