New Year’s Eve from Hollywood! Lindsay Lohan cuddles up to her husband and Kate Hudson vows ‘to sing and play and love’ as they lead celebrity celebrations

Lindsay Lohan and Kate Hudson were among the first Hollywood stars to report on their New Year's Eve celebrations on Sunday.

Lohan, 37, got cozy with her husband Bader Shammas when she dropped by Instagram, where she has more than 14 million followers.

The Mean Girls actress posed in front of a decorated Christmas tree in the first photo of a carousel post.

She wished her fans “a blessed year,” adding, “may it be filled with love, good health, peace and happiness!”

Meanwhile, Kate, 44, was also active on the photo-sharing app as she uploaded clips from a recent musical performance in Aspen, Colorado.

Lindsay's ginger locks flowed freely over her chest in an undefined side part as she smiled for a selfie.

In the next image in her slideshow, she looked lovingly into her husband's eyes as he wrapped his arms around her.

He looked handsome with his beard neatly trimmed and his dark hair tapered.

He wore a black button-up shirt and Lindsay contrasted his look as she wore a champagne-coloured turtleneck covered in glittering stones.

Both wore watches and the Parent Trap star showed off a pair of diamond stud earrings.

She wrote in her caption that she is “full of gratitude” and the post has amassed more than 151,000 likes so far.

For her part, Kate engaged her fans with a selection of photos and video clips from her December 28 performance at Hotel Jerome.

The blonde beauty captivated an intimate crowd as she released new songs she's been working on all year and has yet to release.

For the show, the mogul was dressed in an off-the-shoulder, flowy white dress with a floral pattern printed on it.

She paired it with a pair of white cowboy boots and her long blonde hair was styled in a center parting and ironed straight.

In a heartfelt caption, she wrote, “Well, on the eve of a new year I say bring on 2024!”

Addressing her nearly 18 million followers, she declared, “I promise to sing and play and love and sing and love more!

'Life is too short not to focus on the things you love. Art, art and more art. Entertainment and places and opportunities in which we can lose ourselves. We need it and I'm for it.'

Goldie Hawn's look-alike daughter added, “So we have to look forward and not backward.” I love you all and I hope you'll join me on this adventure because the wind is blowing and I'm going with it.”

The mother of three concluded the message, writing: 'HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE! Please be safe and loving to everyone.”

Also active on social media ahead of the new year was Vanessa Bryant, the widow of late basketball star Kobe Bryant.

She celebrated on the ski slopes with her three daughters: Natalia, 20, Bianka, seven, and Capri, four.

The four were bundled up in snowsuits as they smiled for photos during their retreat.

Vanessa, who lost both her husband and daughter Gigi in a helicopter crash in January 2020, uploaded a film featuring the soundtrack of Dean Martin's Let It Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!'

The photos in the montage were taken in Canada, with Ms. Bryant simply writing in the caption, “Whistler, Canada.”

The mum-of-three looked fashionable in black skiwear and stunned with a face full of glamorous make-up.

Alessandra Ambrosio also treated her Instagram followers to a slew of photos taken on the beach.

The stunning snapshots showed the 42-year-old supermodel's silhouette against a beautiful sunset backdrop.

In a caption to her 12 million followers, the mother of two simply wrote: 'Cheers to closed chapters and hello to new beginnings! I choose to welcome it all.”

She was dressed in a royal blue two-piece swimsuit with high-waisted shorts and a bra top.
