Microsoft’s latest major update to Windows 11 isn’t even out for a month and is already causing problems for some businesses.

As of October 6, Microsoft is investigating an issue that may prevent provisioning packages from working correctly. These are .PPKG files, which are usually used for configuring devices to work on corporate networks.
Windows 11 22H2 issues
Microsoft’s summary of the issue states that “Windows may be only partially configured and the Out Of Box Experience may not complete or restart unexpectedly.”
“Provisioning packages applied during the initial installation are likely affected by this issue.”
Until it can patch this glitch, Microsoft says, “If you can provision the Windows device before upgrading to Windows 11, version 22H2, it will prevent the problem,” but this is far from an ideal solution for businesses that are concerned. have already committed to the upgrade.
As mentioned, last month Microsoft also discovered that 22H2 caused printers using the Microsoft IPP Class Driver or Universal Print Class Driver to resort to default settings.
Because users are unable to use printer-specific settings such as color options, duplex printing, and print quality, Microsoft has quickly paused signing 22H2 to affected users and suggests that these users avoid manually upgrading to the latest OS version until a fix is released .
