The latest Super Bowl viewing data from Nielsen shows that women are tuning in at a higher level than ever before.
Women watching the championship game on CBS and Univision saw a 24 percent increase over last year’s Super Bowl, while girls ages 12 to 17 saw an 11 percent increase.
Women came in at a higher level overall, up nine percent, to 58.8 million.
The increase is partly due to Taylor Swift attending the game after flying from Japan to watch friend Travis Kelce play in the Super Bowl for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The latest data from Nielsen shows that the average Super Bowl audience reached an average of 123.7 million people, more than initially thought.
Thanks in part to Swift, women watched the Super Bowl at a higher level than ever before
The couple has been in a relationship since September with the singer attending thirteen Chiefs games this season
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in overtime to win the Super Bowl.
Swift and Kelce have been publicly dating since September, after she attended a Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears.
Swift has been to 13 of Kansas City’s games this season, including all four playoff wins in four different cities.
The “Anti-Hero” singer’s trip to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas took her from Tokyo to Los Angeles on Saturday after she wrapped up the Japanese leg of “The Eras Tour.”
CBS’ ratings were up across the board this season as people got to watch Kelce and Swift all throughout the NFL year.
