He just landed one of the country’s biggest TV appearances, replacing David ‘Kochie’ Koch on Channel Seven’s Sunrise earlier this month.
And Matt Shirvington was beaming when he went shopping in Sydney with his family recently.
The former athlete, 44, visited a Kidstuff store in Chatswood with his wife Jessica and their three children, Sienna, 17, Winter, 15, and Lincoln, five.
The TV star gave his young son a piggyback ride as the family of five browsed the toy store.
Matt swapped his usual work suit for gray pants, a white T-shirt and a denim shirt.

He put on designer sunglasses as they stepped out into the sun.
The former professional sprinter’s wife, Jessica, who is an author, also seemed thrilled to be spending time together as a family.
She pulled on a pair of light gray trousers and a brown sweater, keeping her long brown locks loose and straight.
The happy couple has been married for 20 years and met at the age of 17.
But before he started his permanent job at Sunrise, they had a serious discussion about how much of their family life he would share on the air.

Speak against The Sunday Telegraphhe said, “We talked openly about what the job entails and what kind of reaction you could potentially get on air if you say something wrong — or even draw boundaries about speaking about the kids.”
“All those little things that needed to be discussed.”
Matt also revealed that he asked his predecessor Koch a very important question before agreeing to take over.
“One of the first questions I asked Kochie was ‘can I count on you for advice or direction,’ and he said, ‘Absolutely,'” Matt said.
