New Sunrise host Katie Brown reveals her insane work schedule after having just THREE hours of sleep: From interstate flights to multiple interviews and a 3.30am wake up

Sunrise presenter Katie Brown is perhaps one of Australia’s hardest working TV journalists.

The Channel Seven star, 32, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a glimpse into her hectic daily schedule, which has seen her take two interstate flights and host multiple interviews.

She started her day at 3.30am after staying up until midnight to enjoy a ‘movie marathon’, before heading to Seven Studios at 5.30am to host Sunrise Sport.

Katie had breakfast at 6.30am before heading to Sydney Airport for a 9am flight to Brisbane.

On arrival in the Queensland capital, the presenter organized six interviews before sitting down for a gourmet buffet lunch in the afternoon.

“Amazing Tuesday,” she wrote alongside a photo of her looking tired as she gave a thumbs up to the camera.

In November, reports claimed that Katie would take over as sports presenter on the breakfast show in 2025.

The journalist expected to single out breakfast show veteran Mark Beretta, who has worked with the Channel Seven program on and off since 2000.

According to an insider, Katie is being guided to move into the sports broadcaster’s role after his new two-year contract expires, reported women’s Day.

“Katie is just a country boy who appeals to all audiences because of her no-nonsense style,” they told the publication on Monday.

They went on to say that “a few people behind the scenes have quietly expressed that Mark’s flashy lifestyle may not always resonate with viewers.”

“The irony of it all is that Beretta is one of Katie’s biggest supporters and has almost been a mentor to her,” she added.

At the time the reports emerged, Mark had only just signed a new contract to stay at Sunrise for another two years, with some raising eyebrows at the short duration of the deal.
