New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson will be out for at least three weeks after suffering a strained hamstring, with Brandon Ingram sidelined with a toe problem.

The New Orleans Pelicans announced that superstar forward Zion Williamson has been diagnosed with a right hamstring injury after an MRI and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

Williamson was injured late in the third quarter during Monday night’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

After recovering a rebound from a Joel Embiid miss, Williamson drove the ball up the court. As soon as he crossed the half court line, he seemed to feel something in his right hamstring, before dribbling to the corner and passing the ball to his teammate Dyson Daniels.

On the next possession, Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas fouled Tyrese Maxey so Willamson could withdraw from the game with 24 seconds remaining in the quarter.

During practice Tuesday, Pelicans coach Willie Green said the only update he had on Willamson’s condition was that he would miss the team’s game Wednesday against the Houston Rockets.

Williamson has averaged 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game this season.
