Nintendo will air a new Nintendo Direct presentation on Wednesday, February 21, a showcase focused Switch games coming in the first half of 2024, the company announced on Monday. The new Nintendo Direct starts at 9am EST/6am PST and will last approximately 25 minutes, Nintendo says.
Wednesday’s Direct will be available on Nintendo’s YouTube And Nervous twitching channels. The presentation is on-demand, which means the entire showcase goes live at once.
Nintendo notes that its latest Nintendo Direct presentation is a Partner Showcase, meaning third-party publishers and developers will take center stage during the video showcase. In other words, don’t expect a big hit on Nintendo’s first-party list.
Nintendo’s currently announced first-party lineup includes Switch games Princess Peach Showtime!, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HDAnd Paper Mario: The Millennial Door. Of course, Nintendo also has a few surprises in store. The company still has that Metroid Prime 4 is on the release schedule and is rumored to be working on a handful of remakes and remasters.
Less likely to appear during February’s Nintendo Direct is the company’s next console. “Switch 2” is reportedly coming sometime in 2025.
