New iPhone 14 update fixes a big issue that users have complained about

>

When the iPhone 14 series was launched, many users immediately started complaining about a major problem: when you opened the camera with third-party apps, the image often shook and blurry, and sometimes even made grinding noises (causing many had to speculate that the phone’s OIS was the culprit).

However, these problems weren’t limited to third-party apps designed solely for photography, making Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and other similar services difficult to use.

However, it looks like Apple has a fix on the way. A new version of iOS 16 has been spotted rolling out to phones, as mentioned in Apple Security Update Log (opens in new tab)referred to as iOS 16.0.2.

This update, which was rolled out on September 22, fixes the camera issue on iPhone 14 models and also fixes a few other bugs such as an issue with copying and pasting text between apps.

So if you have been dealing with the third party camera app issue then simply updating to a newer form of iOS can help with that. Go to the Settings app, and in the General select list Software update. If you qualify for the update, it will appear here.

Well, that’s in theory, but we need to hear from early iPhone 14 users that the problem is gone before we believe it for good.

This update is well-timed as the iPhone 14 Plus hasn’t even been released yet, so people buying a cheaper, large-sized phone will never even have to deal with camera shake.

The Apple fan corners of the internet were going crazy about this issue and we totally understand – if we couldn’t use the ‘Gram’ we would be annoyed too. But hopefully, now that an update is rolled out, these handsets deserve more of their place on our list of the best smartphones.
