An inquest ruled it suicide, and it was later revealed that she had been fighting with her billionaire father over wanting to leave money to Damian, whom she reportedly never met.

Last year, Australian cricketer Shane Warne, to whom the Austin Powers actress was engaged, died of a heart attack at the age of 52.

The couple began dating in 2010 after she split from her husband Arun Nayar and they planned to get married. They broke up in 2013 but have remained great friends.

Sizemore was best known for his roles in Saving Private Ryan and Natural Born Killers.

The troubled star, who battled drug and alcohol addiction, once told The Mail on Sunday that he had been “hopelessly in love” with Ms Hurley when they dated while she was living in Los Angeles in the middle of the 1990s.

He said: ‘She was my big regret. He was very much in love with her, desperately. But my demons got in the way. I was in no condition to have a real relationship. One of the biggest regrets of my life is not treating Liz better. He has never spoken publicly about Sizemore. But speaking of Warne and Bing, she said: ‘Losing Shane was terrible. Honestly, I kept thinking I would call and it would turn out to be a big Aussie joke.

Losing Stephen was something else entirely. We had been estranged for so long, but we made up towards the end, and it seemed like a bright future was opening up.

Sizemore became a star in the 1990s, playing tough guys in hits like Heat with Robert De Niro, who paid to get him into rehab.

Other film credits include Born On The Four Of July, True Romance, and Pearl Harbor. He was praised for his role in 2001’s Black Hawk Down, but his heroin and cocaine habits affected his career.

In his memoir, By Some Miracle I Got Out of There, the Detroit-born Sizemore wrote: ‘I came from a poor background and made it big. He had the multi-million dollar house, the Porsche, the restaurant he had with Robert De Niro. So I lost everything. In 2003 he was convicted of beating his girlfriend, Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss, and in 2007 he spent two years in jail for violating probation for drug offences.

She is survived by her 17-year-old twin sons, Jayden and Jagger. She had an aneurysm at her Los Angeles home on February 18 and died Friday after his life support was disconnected.
