New Google Search tools could help you save cash this Black Friday

Just in time for the holidays, Google Search is getting three new shopping features that help you find great deals on the web.

The upcoming tools are all about making the lives of online shoppers easier, especially in these tough economic times. Google suggests (opens in new tab) it expects to see a 43 percent increase in U.S. shoppers seeking discounts or special offers compared to last year. To facilitate this, a new ‘Special Offer’ tag will appear on product thumbnails on both mobile and desktop results for which a coupon is available. These tags are intended to make promotions a lot more visible while browsing.

Selecting the item will give you a coupon code that you can enter at checkout. However, the coupon code does not say how much money you will save. Google states that it plans to add a new coupon clipping feature, which is basically the ability to copy and paste the code without having to type it in. hard date was given.

Pricing Insights

Price insights from the Shopping tab are also set up to make their way to the main Search page, both on desktop and mobile. This means you can check prices from multiple stores and see how a product’s price tag fluctuates. It will help you see when it was cheapest. This small but useful change means you don’t have to jump back and forth between tabs. Everything is right in front of you. And launching towards the end of November is a new mobile-exclusive side-by-side view for comparing deals. Rather than jumble fully priced and sale items in a jumble, Google groups products into a “Deals” category for quick browsing.

All store features are “currently” exclusive to US users, a company representative said. So it is possible that other countries will see these features at a later date. The same goes for the side-by-side view, as there may be a desktop version in the future, but not much else is known.

During the Search On 2022 event in September, Google has unveiled a wave of features to make shopping more personal (opens in new tab). Search results show you complementary pieces and accessories that, for example, match a possible new jacket. Helpful buyer’s guides have been added to more complex products such as mountain bikes. A guide has some sort of FAQ to answer common questions, such as what type of suspension or brakes to get. In combination with the search update and Chrome’s price tracking feature (opens in new tab)you may be able to find exactly what you are looking for at a good price.
