New golden vagina that is 1.20 meters long is worshiped in Thai temple by women who pray for good luck, fertility and help to find their dream man
- The replica can be found in a Buddhist shrine in Nakhon Ratchasima province
- It was reportedly built by the devout Buddhist nun Mother Brahmin
A new 4-foot-long golden vagina is worshiped at a temple in Thailand by women praying for good luck, fertility and help finding their dream man.
Footage shows the anatomically correct replica of the female genitalia inscribed with prayers at a Buddhist shrine in Nakhon Ratchasima province.
Eight smaller vaginas surround the giant vulva, while a stone serpent with seven heads is built under a mango tree to ‘guard’ the sacred female parts.
The ‘fortune’ vagina was reportedly built by the devout Buddhist nun Naowaratkotchaporn Simetawong or ‘Mother Brahmin’, to purify women from bad luck for committing sinful deeds.
The statue has grown in popularity and followers now regularly visit to pray.

Devotees have even built a matching golden penis surrounded by eight smaller penises to complement the selection of vulvas on display.
The genital shrine has become such a hit that the head of the city council, Kanatchon Sijaroen, was joined by a team of his staff and several police officers on May 22 to inspect the items.
Relieved Kanatchon has now cleared the items. He said, “We want to make sure the shrine is up to moral standards. We ordered them to remove characters that could be vulgar.
“It was also considered disrespectful to have a Buddhist shrine so close to genitals statues, so we ordered that moved to a new position.”

After the inspection, the shrine continued to operate and the followers were allowed to pay respects to the vagina statue.
However, a large Buddhist statue that used to stand between the vagina and the penis was ordered to be moved to another part of the shrine to avoid “disrespect” towards the religious monument.

Mother Brahmin said, “We do ceremonies here to overcome misfortunes, especially women who have aborted a child.”
She added: “I believe we should show respect to the genitals as they represent the origin of life and abundance in the world. It’s not strange or unusual. “Nevertheless, I am willing to work with the government to address any concerns.”
