New ‘fabulous’ sexual trends are on the rise in the US as report reveals the biggest buzz in 2024

The most searched for pornography for 2024 has been revealed – and it seems Americans have developed a taste for the fantastic.

Pornhub’s global annual report states: “hentai” — a popular animated form of Japanese pornography — was the most searched term in the US, taking over the top spot from “lesbian,” which reigned in 2023, 2022, 2019 and 2017.

‘Hentai’ also reached number one worldwide.

The Montreal-headquartered company said of the finding: ‘People around the world are showing increasing interest in this type of content, including video game characters, anime-style characters and 3D animation, to name a few.”

Compared to other countries, the US showed particular interest this year in ‘latina’, which rose two places to become the second most searched term, while ‘milf’ followed in third place.

Pornhub says ‘milf’ is consistently in the top three worldwide.

In the US rankings, the term ‘Asian’ rose two places to fourth place, while ‘ebony’ remained where it was in 2023, in fifth place.

The term ‘lesbian’ took a big dive in 2024, dropping five places to sixth place compared to last year.

Other terms to make the top ten were ‘c****pie’, ‘big a**’ and ‘a***’.

In light of what Pornhub calls the “animation excitement trend,” anime rose four spots to become the twelfth most searched term as of 2023.

Although this seems to be the result of people trying to search for hentai.

Anime is an animation style that originated in Japan and is characterized by hand-drawn and computer-generated animation

Hentai is the same cartoon style, but pornographic in nature.

Looking at trending searches, Pornhub revealed that ‘mature-50 plus’ has skyrocketed, up 385 percent this year.

Meanwhile, the number of ‘business trips’ increased by 331 percent, ‘fat and round’ by 251 percent and ‘secret cheating’ by 211 percent.

Pornhub says the rise of ‘business travel’ is down to people falling back in love with work due to hybrid working conditions or the return of full office work.

A spokesperson said: ‘It’s one thing to sit behind a screen during meetings, but when you’re back in the office those sparks can turn into flames. And our statisticians saw this happen in real time.”

Elsewhere, Pornhub also revealed that 27-year-old Violet Myers was the top US porn star of the year, while former Marine Alex Adams came second and Chicago-born Lana Rhoades came third.

Globally, Pornhub found there was a surge of interest in “wives,” which it attributes to the TV reality show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Commenting on the surprising trend, the analysts said: ‘Although women are already popular on Pornhub, in addition to the interest in traditional aspects such as authentic couples and authentic sex, the show seemed to ignite a spark in a flame.

“Overall, interest in ‘wife’ and marriage searches increased, with ‘amateur wife’ up 21 percent, ‘traditional wife’ up 34 percent and ‘tradwife’ up 72 percent.”

Tradwives have become popular on social media, especially on right-wing groups.

The term is used to describe women who adhere to traditional gender roles and marriages, often choosing to stay home, do housework and raise children.

Many tradwife influencers wear revealing clothes in their videos.

Meanwhile, Pornhub said borderline marriage searches also grew, with ‘cuckold wife’ up 8 per cent, ‘wife swap’ up 6 per cent and ‘wife threesome’ up 12 per cent.

“Reflecting the Mormon aspect of the hit series, searches for ‘Mormon woman’ increased by 71 percent, ‘Mormon sex’ by 92 percent, ‘Mormon missionary’ by 68 percent and ‘Mormon threesome’ by 122 percent.”

Overall, “woman” ranked 23rd on Pornhub’s global most searched list.

In the US, the states that most searched for women-related terms were New Mexico with ‘housewife’ and Michigan with ‘amateur woman’.

And when it came to Pornhub’s largest audience, the US came out on top, followed by France and the Philippines.

Ten minutes and 37 seconds was the average visit time in the US this year and the state that spent the most time on average was Alaska, at 11 minutes and 4 seconds.

Commenting on the overall findings, a company spokesperson said: ‘One of the best parts of doing our Year in Review Insights is taking all the data and sifting through billions of visits to see what the flavor of the year certain.

‘These tastes are often determined by pop culture, world events and changing views on sexuality.

‘What you find here isn’t strictly Pornhub, it’s also synonymous with mainstream media.

“The way people deal with external factors in their lives inevitably seeps into their porn consumption, and when you look at these trends, you’re talking about a year ripe for cultural shifts.”
