A seemingly innocuous tweet announcing the new jersey numbers for the players on the New England Patriots 2024 draft selection sparked a firestorm over the inclusion of a previously invisible logo.

The Patriots added a new circular logo with the letters “NE” in it with the “Pat Patriot 2.0” logo in the negative space between them.

Fans were so outraged by this that it quickly became a trending topic on Twitter.

“That new alternate logo is absolute nonsense,” wrote one outraged user. “And if you put that on jerseys, I won’t pay a cent for it.”

“I don’t know if this is an unpopular version or not, but I’m not crazy about this new logo,” another account wrote.
