New Bridget Jones poster reveals the tough choice the iconic singleton has to make as she deliberates between two very handsome men
A new Bridget Jones poster has revealed the tough choice the iconic singleton will have to make as she decides between two very handsome men.
The highly anticipated fourth film Mad About The Boy sees Bridget, played by Renee Zellweger, break her four-year sex streak with a much younger man.
The iconic character married her on-off love Mark [Colin Firth] in the franchise’s third installment before tragically dying, leaving her a widow with two children.
During a trip to the park, Bridget discovers her two children trapped in a tree, where she is rescued by two dashing men in the form of The White Lotus star Leo Woodall and Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor.
And the new poster teases the love triangle even further, as Bridget is seen in one photo getting cozy with Chiwetel, before a second photo shows Leo putting his arm around the star.

The new poster teases the love triangle even further, as Bridget is seen in a photo looking cozy with Roxster, played by Leo Woodall, as he puts his arm around the star.
In the trailer, Bridget is encouraged to get back out there and happens to meet dashingly handsome younger man Roxster [Leo] – with whom she has ‘a full night of utterly mind-blowing sex’.
She soon finds herself in the middle of a three-way battle for her affection between boytoy Roxster, gym teacher Mr. Wallaker, played by Chiwetel, and a returning Hugh Grant as the infamous Daniel Cleaver.
As the trailer unfolds, Bridget’s romance with Roxster flares up and the pair have “amazing sex” after a date.
However, Bridget remains confused as the flirtatious encounters with Mr. Wallaker increase and she eventually stumbles into a shed to find him half-naked.
The fourth installment in the critically acclaimed franchise is based on the book of the same name by Helen Fielding.
In the most recent film, 2016’s Bridget Jones’ Baby, Bridget was shocked to discover she was pregnant. It ended with her marrying Mark, the high-flying lawyer she had occasionally had feelings for throughout the three films, and revealing that he was the father of her baby.
However, in Mad About The Boy, Mark tragically dies later while working abroad as a human rights lawyer, leaving Bridget a widow and the book follows her as she battles motherhood alone.
She also quits her job in television to cover the school run, with comedy scenes expected as she struggles to keep up with the Yummy Mummies.

Fans of the franchise should also look out for a very sexy wet shirt referenced by Mr Darcy, as Leo’s handsome character Roxster emerges from a pool after rescuing a dog

Bridget Jones fans can also rejoice as Roxster jumps into a pool in front of her to save a puppy in a particularly sexy scene – in a moment that echoes the iconic Mr Darcy Pride and Prejudice look.
The film was officially confirmed this year, with the script written by author Helen, Abi Morgan and Dan Mazer, with Michael Morris directing.
Helen has also been spotted during filming as she prepares to say goodbye to the much-loved character.
A film source told The Mail On Sunday in February: ‘Bridget is back and about to take over London. The recordings are already being planned…
‘All pre-production is there. There was some uncertainty as to whether it would get off the ground, but the film is coming…
“Renee is excited about bringing Bridget back. She loves the character so much. Bridget Jones fever is expected to sweep across London this spring.”
When asked about a fourth film part, author Helen previously told Radio Times: ‘Every film that is made is a miracle…’
“I think it’s really hard to make movies and make them happen and make them good, and we want it to be really good. But I really hope so. I’d like to see it on screen.’
Last year there were rumors that the film had been discontinued due to the US actors’ strikes, but sources said these claims were ‘nonsense’.

Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy will be released on Peacock in the US on February 13, 2025 and in cinemas in the UK on February 14
The first film, Bridget Jones’s Diary, was released in 2001 and grossed £222 million at the box office – more than ten times what it cost to produce.
In addition to Renee and Hugh returning to their roles, fans will see the familiar faces of Jim Broadbent and Gemma Jones as Bridget’s crazy parents, Colin and Pamela.
Bridget’s three best friends Sharon, Jude and Tom also return, played by Sally Phillips, Shirley Henderson and James Callis respectively.
Sarah Solemani reprises her role from the third film, as Bridget’s friend Miranda and news presenter at Hard News, while Emma Thompson will also reappear as Doctor Rawlings.
After Colin Firth’s name was absent from the cast list, fans feared that his character would not appear in the fourth film at all, as his character Mark is killed off in the book.
However, The Mail on Sunday has revealed that Colin will still appear in the film, after unveiling exclusive photos from the set last month showing Renee lovingly interacting with the star of The King’s Speech.
Colin wears Mark’s signature suit and tie and tenderly places his hand on the cheek of his co-star, who is wearing an emerald green dress and leather boots.
It was revealed that Colin’s return was intended as a big surprise, with film bosses desperate to keep it a secret.
A source said: ‘Colin was always going to appear in the film but it had to be kept secret.’
In the last film, 2016’s Bridget Jones’s Baby, Bridget is seen at the memorial service of her other on-off love Daniel, who is presumed dead after a plane crash, but is later found alive.
