New album by the acclaimed drummer Orian Rose
Orian Rose, a prodigious drummer and composer, emerges as a rising star in the NY jazz scene with his jazz album “An Evening in Greenwich Village,” released under the important record label Globalev Music. With an impressive background that includes prestigious education, notable awards, and remarkable achievements, Rose establishes himself as a force to be reckoned with in the jazz world.
At just 25 years old, Rose has already become one of the most sought-after musicians in Israel. After graduating from the renowned jazz department of the Israeli Conservatory for Music, Schtriker, in Tel Aviv, he embarked on a successful career, collaborating with various jazz combos as well as popular rock and pop acts in the country. His performances at high-profile venues like the Givatayim Theater, the Jerusalem Jazz Festival, Shablul Jazz Club, and The Zone have further cemented his reputation.
Rose’s musical journey took him beyond Israel’s borders when he was chosen as the lead drummer of the Israeli Navy Band as part of his mandatory military service, representing Israel internationally. During his almost three-year tenure, he traveled the country and even embarked on a gala tour in Canada, raising an impressive $2.7 million for The Association for Israel’s Soldiers.
Determined to pursue his musical career further, Rose relocated to the United States, where he received full scholarships from both Berklee College of Music in Boston and The New School University in New York City which he graduated a year ago from the latter.
Rose is a recipient of the prestigious America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship, recognizing his exceptional talent and contributions to the music industry. Throughout his journey, he has performed alongside accomplished musicians such as Yuval Cohen, Aaron Goldberg, and Alon Olearchik, showcasing his ability to collaborate with esteemed artists.
