Netherlands fans buy 25 TIMES more tickets than English supporters on leading resale sites ahead of tonight’s semi-final – with the Three Lions set to face a ‘sea of orange’ in Dortmund

On the largest resale marketplace, Dutch fans have bought 25 times as much as English supporters for tonight’s Euro 2024 semi-final in Dortmund.

The number of applications from Ronald Koeman supporters increased by 145 percent after their quarter-final victory over Turkey, far exceeding the number of applications from Gareth Southgate supporters.

Around 8,250 tickets have been allocated to both countries for the match, with the Netherlands taking up half of the stadium’s famous ‘Yellow Wall’.

Still, around 80,000 people made the relatively short journey across the border, which is far more than the number of English supporters on the streets of Dortmund this afternoon.

At the stadium, whose capacity for Dortmund matches has been reduced from 81,000 to 60,440, officials expect a 60-40 split in favour of the Netherlands.

Cris Miller, managing director at viagogo, said: ‘BVB Stadion Dortmund is likely to be a sea of ​​orange for tonight’s England v Netherlands semi-final, with Dutch fans outnumbering English fans 25:1 on the viagogo marketplace since the quarter-final matches. The match is obviously very popular with tickets having been sold in 88 countries.

‘Our platform recorded a 145 percent increase in ticket purchases by Dutch fans for the final following their quarter-final win over Turkey, the highest of any country still in the tournament. There was a 46 percent spike in English fans buying tickets for the final following Sunday’s shootout win over the Swiss.’
