Netflix's new Korean horror series Gyeongseong creature premieres just before Christmas. A trailer released Thursday reveals the show's creepy World War II setting and even gives us a glimpse of the monster at its center.
Gyeongseong creature is set in Gyeongseong (the former name for Seoul) in 1945 during the Japanese colonization of Korea. It follows two characters as they investigate the mysterious events surrounding a seemingly deadly hospital and the dark secret it hides in its basement. The trailer is full of drama and slick style, but it's only after we get our first look at the basement that the horrors of what they'll find become clear.
The series stars Park Seo-joon (Parasite) and Han So-hee (My name) as the two leads, along with Kim Soo-hyun (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Kim Hae-sook (Revenge), and Jo Han-chul (Kingdom). It was written by Kang Eun-kyung (King of baking).
Netflix will appear Gyeongseong creature in two parts, with the first one landing on December 22 and the second wave arriving on January 5.
