Netflix viewers are being blown away by a ‘mysterious’ new British thriller, with fans calling lead actress Rose Williams ‘captivating’.
The film, set in the picturesque English countryside, has been showing on the steamy platform since November 1.
Directed by Nour Wazzi, Locked In features some familiar faces in the cast, including Famke Janssen, Rose Williams, Finn Cole and Anna Friel.
The mind-expanding thriller, based on the novel Before I Go to Sleep by SJ Watson, tells the story of an ex-Hollywood actress Katherine (Famke Janssen) who is suspected of suffering from lock-in syndrome.
Katherine cannot move an inch of her body, only her eyes, after being hit by a car.
Baffling: Netflix fans are blown away by a new British thriller that hit theaters on November 1
Thanks to her determined nurse, Nicky (Anna Friel), Katherine can communicate via blinking and a letter board.
In Morse code style, the former actress flashes a sentence to her caregiver, claiming that a murder has occurred.
Over the course of the suspenseful thriller, we get a glimpse into the actress’s life shortly after she adopted the child of her late best friend, Lina (Rose Williams).
Lina is in love with the former stage actor and quickly becomes a good friend of Katherine’s chronically ill stepson, Jamie (Finn Cole).
The couple eventually tie the knot much to stepmother Katherine’s dismay, as her stepson is next in line to inherit his late father’s mansion – where all three live.
Lina and Katherine’s once close bond quickly falls apart, with the stepmother branding her a “gold digger.”
In a strange twist, the young woman also begins to develop a close bond with her husband’s doctor, Dr. Robert Lawrence (Alex Hassell).
Tragedy continues to strike Katherine’s family in a series of mind-bending events that are sure to leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

The film sees security guard Matt Schmidt taking on his new role at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.
However, during his first shift at the previously popular ’80s restaurant, Schmidt quickly realizes that getting through the night will be no easy task.
His creepy adventure becomes even more challenging when his 10-year-old sister Abby (Piper Rubio) comes along and the guard delves deeper into his brother’s unsolved disappearance.
