Netflix shares first official snap of Charles and Diana with Prince William and Harry

Netflix has shared its first official look at Charles, Diana, William and Harry as a family in season five of The Crown.

The photos, posted to the show’s official social media pages, showed the now king, played by Dominic West in the series, along with his late wife, played by Elizabeth Debicki, and their children Prince William (Timothee Samborand) and Harry (Teddy Hawley.)

In the snap, the on-screen family can be seen smiling as they board a boat. The scene is said to depict the couple’s 1997 vacation to Italy with their children.

Timothee will play Prince William, while Teddy, age seven, has been cast as his younger brother Harry, after reports show bosses struggled to find red-haired actors.

According to The sunsaid a source: ‘Netflix bosses wanted to make sure they had the right actors for the part, since the young royals are so well known and in the public eye at that age.

“They didn’t rush and found Teddy and Timothee who they hope will be warmly received. They are about to become household names themselves.”

Harry was previously played by Arran Tinker in the fourth series, but only briefly while William was played by Lucas Barber Grant. MailOnline has reached out to a Netflix spokesperson for comment.
