Fool Me Once was released on New Year's Day after teasing subscribers of the streaming giant with the prospect of an 'epic' series in December 2023.

Fans of the streaming giant are 'hooked' on the 'compelling' drama inspired by Harlan Coben's book of the same name
Fool Me Once was released as a novel in 2016 and follows the likes of The Stranger and Stay Close to become the eighth member of Netflix's Harlan Coben Collection.
The author posted his New Year's wishes and plugged in the new series at the same time.
He said, 'Happy New Year. All 8 episodes of Fool Me Once are now streaming on @Netflix. I hope 2024 will be your best year yet.”
In the show, Michelle Keegan plays the apparent widow Maya Stern, but after receiving a hidden baby monitor, she sees her late husband Joe – played by Richard Armitage – on camera.
This revelation throws Maya into a world of conspiracy as she wonders what really happened to her partner and what role his family, and specifically his mother (Joanna Lumley as Judith Burkett), played in the saga.
