Netflix leaves viewers ‘completely devastated’ if the streaming service cancels supernatural series after just one season
Netflix fans are outraged after the streaming service canceled the supernatural series Lockwood & Co. canceled after only one season.
The production company said in a statement that the show “will not return for a second series.”
Viewers were less than impressed as they eagerly awaited a new series.
The statement read: ‘WIt is with a heavy heart that we announce that Lockwood & Co will not be returning for a second series…
“To the fans – to Lock Nation – you really have been the best. We can’t thank you enough for how much you’ve embraced, celebrated and loved the show.

“We are extremely proud of the gifted young actors who brought Jonathan’s beloved fictional characters to the big screen with such warmth, charm and vulnerability.
“Ruby, Cameron and Ali were our perfect Lucy, Lockwood and George. We couldn’t have wished for a more dedicated or talented trio.
“All three are superstars and we can’t wait to see them shine in the brilliant future that no doubt awaits them.”
Several fans took to Twitter to lament how “devastated” they are by the news.
One of them wrote: ‘My kids and I are absolutely devastated by this. Daughter feels grief like she lost a friend @NetflixUK has a lot to answer for.”
A second said, “Why are they even bothering to get new things up and running?” Lockwood & Co was loved and had many viewers. What does Netflix need to renew a series? Is it literally just the Bridgertons and Stranger Things?”
A third wrote: ‘Wtf netflix, why Lockwood&Co. cancelled? It’s a good series. They deserve a few more seasons.’

A fifth, upset fan wrote, “This is so disappointing, especially knowing they canceled this for another/new series, which probably won’t pick up after the first season either. We’ve also always known that Netflix is in it for the money.”
“It’s so crushing to see such a fantastic show being shelved by @netflix but that’s the norm for them now,” said another.
‘That is it. BOYCOTT NETFLIX BRU this is a JOKE. first julie and the phantoms.. NOW LOCKWOOD AND CO? BRUH THEY MAKE TERRIBLE THINGS AND CANCEL ALL GOOD THINGS NAW,’ said another.
Based on the books by Jonathan Stroud, the supernatural thriller stars Bridgeton’s Ruby Stokes and newcomers Cameron Chapman and Ali Hadji-Heshmati.
The TV series is set in an alternate London overrun with ghosts visible only to young people.
