Netflix Geeked Week 2024 is less than a week away from big reveals about the streaming giant’s films, TV shows, and video games. Over four days in mid-September, Netflix will be providing updates on many of its most popular franchises, as well as news about upcoming projects, a potential surprise or three, and its first-ever Geeked Week live event, which I was thrilled to attend.
As the clock counts down to the start of the streamer’s annual fan extravaganza, we’ve compiled all the key information you need to know before the week-long festivities begin. Below, you’ll find out when Netflix Geeked Week 2024 starts, which movies, shows, and games have officially been announced, and more. So what are you waiting for? Dive in!
What is Netflix Geeked Week?
The easiest way to describe Geeked Week is as Netflix’s own mini Comic-Con. At its core, it’s a multi-day, mostly online celebration of all things Netflix and the fandoms that have emerged from its library of Netflix Originals for TV and movies over the years.
The world’s top streaming service held its first Geeked Week event in June 2021, and as the free virtual event has grown in popularity, it’s become a staple of the entertainment industry calendar. It’s not as big as the aforementioned Comic-Con or even something like Disney’s D23 Expo in-person fan event, but we don’t think it’ll be long before Netflix holds its own similar in-person-only event.
When does Netflix Geeked Week 2024 start and end?
Geeked Week 2024 starts on Monday September 16thThe first three days of announcements will be virtual only, which means you’ll need to stay tuned to Netflix’s YouTube channel and various social media accounts to catch every reveal as it’s, well, revealed. You can also keep an eye on Ny Breaking, as we’ll be covering as many trailer premieres, cast reveals, and other announcements as possible.
As for when Geeked Week 2024 will end, it will conclude on Thursday, September 19th with a two-hour live event that you – yes, you! – can attend. And that’s what we’re talking about…
Where is the Netflix Geeked Week 2024 live event? And how can I get a ticket?
For the first time ever, Netflix will be hosting a live, in-person Geeked Week event. As mentioned above, it will take place on Thursday, September 19 in Atlanta, USA, and will run from 8pm EDT to 10pm EDT.
If you live in Atlanta or are looking to travel to the state of Georgia to be part of the inaugural event crowd, you can attend the fan celebration for free. Yes, free! You can also find more information about the outdoor activities you can do before the event, when the convention center doors open, if parking is available, and more. Keep in mind, though, that seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure you arrive early enough to secure a spot.
Who’s in attendance: Joe Manganiello will host the live event, while Cobra Kai’s Xolo Mariduena and Jacob Bertrand will serve as special correspondents throughout the evening. Viewers can also expect to see fan-favorite director Zack Snyder, Black mirror creator Charlie Brooker, WWE’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, and stars of Don’t move, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Sandman, It’s what’s inside that countsAnd One piece at various points.
Can I watch the Netflix Geeked Week 2024 live event online?
Don’t live in the US or can’t make it to Atlanta at the last minute? Don’t worry, because Netflix has confirmed that it will stream its Geeked Week Live 2024 fan event live on YouTube, Twitch, and X/Twitter.
As mentioned, it starts at 8pm EDT / 5pm PDT on Thursday, September 19 in the US. For viewers in the UK and Australia, the live event starts at 1am BST / 10am AEST on Friday, September 20. We’ll include a link to the show’s YouTube or Twitch live feed in advance.

It’s unlikely we’ll get any news about sequels to some of Netflix’s best movies – maybe the odd one, but not many – but there should be plenty of new Netflix movies to air throughout the week. Netflix’s struggles to break into the video game mainstream have been well-documented. The streamer’s in-house games division does indeed have plenty of intriguing titles available to play for free on its service, but more than 90% of its global subscriber base still hasn’t touched a single one.
The streaming giant will likely make another attempt to convince its fans to try one or more of them out. To that end, Geeked Week 2024 will bring a trio of new game titles that will soon be exclusive to the platform.
