Netflix Geeked Week 2024 video reveals big news about Stranger Things, Arcane, Squid Game and more – and a live event I actually want to attend

Get ready, nerds, because Netflix Geeked Week is returning this September—and this time, the streaming giant is hosting a live, in-person event for you to attend.

Netflix announced in a press release that Geeked Week 2024 will take place from September 16-19. In addition to four days of online reveals, the world’s top streaming service confirmed that it will gather as many fans as possible in Anaheim, California on Thursday, September 19 for an in-person event celebrating all things Netflix. Per GeekedWeek.comTicket sales for this live event start on Tuesday, September 3.

Netflix wasn’t just busy revealing those plans to its global audience, it also released a 45-second teaser suggesting that some of its most popular series, movies and video games would take center stage during the four-day showcase.

The main original series that will be part of Geeked Week 2024 are Strange things, Arcane, WednesdayAnd The Sandman – just four of the most successful Netflix TV Originals that, in my opinion, everyone should see.

It makes sense that this quartet would also be among the shows being spotlighted ahead of Geeked Week 2024. Each of them will have a new season coming out at some point – Arcane season 2 is coming in november, while Strange things season 5, Wednesday season 2, and The Sandman Season 2 is still in production for likely 2025 and/or 2026 launches, so fans can expect some news to be revealed about the aforementioned series, however big or small, by mid-September.

They won’t be the only ones doing so, mind you. Other notable names in our best Netflix shows guide include A piece And Avatar: The Last Airbenderare also briefly shown in the Geeked Week 2024 trailer. That duo also has second seasons coming, so you and I should learn more about their development during the event.

And what do you think about Squid game Season 2, which was given a celebratory Netflix release date today (August 1), amid news that the third season – set to debut sometime in 2025 – will be its last? We’ll no doubt hear and see more about Netflix’s most successful series ever during this year’s Geeked Week. Is it too much to ask for a proper trailer, Netflix?

There are also plenty of new Netflix movies on the way between September and the end of the year, including animated films like Enchanted And Wallace and Gromit: Revenge Not at AllOh, and let’s not forget that Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mysteryalso known as Knives from 3is currently filming. I would definitely appreciate an update on how filming is going for the main films, Netflix, or a brief look at what’s in store for Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc.

As for Netflix’s video game lineup, I’m… less excited about this one, but the streaming giant clearly shows no signs of throwing in the towel on the gaming front. In short: we can expect a number of their upcoming games to be spotlighted during Geeked Week 2024 as well, even if many of their subscribers have never touched one of them. But hey, maybe the tide will start to turn for Netflix’s gaming division if they announce something truly spectacular.
