- The actress, 43, stars in the action thriller but also serves as executive producer
- Viewers are not very impressed with the recently released movie
- It only received a 15 percent audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes
Netflix fans have labeled Jessica Alba’s new film Trigger Warning as ‘one of the worst ever’, labeling it as ‘predictable garbage’ and a ‘waste of time’.
The 43-year-old actress not only stars in the action thriller, which was released on June 21, but also serves as an executive producer.
She takes on the lead role as an active Special Forces officer who takes over her father’s bar after his sudden death.
But once the main character returns to her hometown, she realizes that a violent gang is terrorizing the local population. She tries to put an end to their plundering raids.
However, viewers are less than impressed with the film, and it has received an abysmally low 15 percent rating from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.

Disappointed movie fans also took to X, formerly known as Twitter, in droves to candidly share their thoughts — and they didn’t hold back.
One person wrote: ‘Jessica Alba I love you but my god that Trigger Warning movie was awful. Horrible movie. Waste of over an hour.’
“I actually like Jessica Alba, but Trigger Warning is just a waste of time,” another shared.
Someone else simply said: ‘Trigger Warning is predictable nonsense.’
‘Trigger Warning joins a long list of Netflix’s terrible action movies. Also a weak plot.
“The only thing that made it watchable was Jessica Alba – that was it,” a fourth added.
“Trigger Warning is understated one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen lol but we STAN Jessica Alba forever,” said another.
But despite the negative reactions, Jessica recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to wax lyrical about the process of making the film.

She shared, “I want to have a grounded, cool, female-driven action movie.
“And so the director was a woman and the writer who made The Last Pass was a woman. The producers were women. The DP is a woman. Set the deck [were] women.
“And so we had a lot of department heads in a genre that is quite male-dominated.
‘The worst** people I know are women. I mean, we’re giving birth. So I thought, “Why can’t we sit here and do this genre?” And it was so much fun. I loved it.’
