Netflix fans go wild over ‘brilliant’ and ‘dope’ new thriller which they hail a ’10/10′ – despite critics panning the show: ‘I couldn’t leave my laptop till I finished it!’

Netflix fans have gone wild over a new thriller Who Is Erin Carter? which they have praised as a ’10/10′.

Since its release on the streaming giant on Thursday, several TV fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the show – starring Evin Ahmad as the titular character – with many viewers calling it ‘brilliant’ and ‘amazing’.

While another confessed that they simply “couldn’t leave their laptop behind” before watching the entire series.

Released on August 24, the show revolves around the secretive teacher whose name inspires the title, as her past catches up with her despite the fact that she has left for Spain with her family.

The huge response to the seven-part series comes after it was initially panned by critics who denounced the series for its “appalling dialogue.”

However, it’s clear that Netflix viewers have ignored the naysayers, with several expressing their excitement about the show on social media.

One wrote on Twitter: “Started Who is Erin Carter? On Netflix and couldn’t leave my laptop until I got it off. It was brilliant!’

In response, a second person added, “I agree. A rollercoaster.’

“Who is Erin Carter on Netflix definitely 10/10” declared a third.

The titular lecturer is played by Evin Ahmad, 33, who was named the Rising Star at the 2022 Berlin International Film Festival.

The synopsis of the series on Netflix promises an intriguing story, following Erin, the “mother, wife and teacher” whose life threatens to unravel when it becomes clear that she is more than she lets on after being recognized by an armed robber.

The schoolteacher has moved to Barcelona with her family, where she apparently hopes to cover her tracks.

It says, ‘Who is Erin Carter? combines a unique mix of genres: Erin’s family life and work life at the local international school offer a rich character-driven domestic drama, while the crime story combines nail-biting plot twists with breathtaking action sequences.’

Together, the seven installments feature gunfights, car chases and grand escapes as the title character desperately tries to keep things together.

Erin’s fictional family consists of husband Jordi and daughter Harper, played by Sean Teale and Indica Watson, respectively.

Many viewers of the new show are beginning to understand why Ahmad is being tipped for big things, describing Who Is Erin Carter? as “a very, very good watch,” applauding, or giving five stars.

Someone simply tweeted, “Who is Erin Carter on Netflix 10/10,” and another added, “Who is Erin Carter on Netflix is ​​so good!!!”

Others have likened it to some TV royalty.

‘Who is Erin Carter? A remake of The Long Kiss Goodnight with a pinch of Villanelle,’ someone said, the last name being a reference to Killing Eve’s iconic protagonist.
