- A sequel to the children’s series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous has just been released
- Jurassic World: Chaos Theory continues with the main characters as young adults
- Fans have taken to X to praise the first season of Chaos Theory
Fans of the Netflix children’s show Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous are in awe of the newly released spin-off – with viewers crowing to the streaming site to confirm a second season just days after the first premiered.
Debuting in 2020, Camp Cretaceous exists in the broader Jurassic cinematic universe as it follows the story of six teenagers attending a “camp” on an island intended to be the location for Jurassic Park.
But things go wrong over the course of five seasons, ultimately culminating in the dinosaurs fleeing the island and invading the rest of the world.
Now Netflix has continued that story with the debut of Jurassic Park: Chaos Theory, which picks up the story years later, with the gang now being young adults navigating a world populated by prehistoric creatures.
With the new series also comes the revelation that Brooklynn, an e-girl type character voiced by Jennie Ortega, from Camp Cretaceous has died.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory receives rave reviews from fans of Netflix’s children’s series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous
However, main characters Darius and Ben suspect that her death was not accidental, while Ben admits that he has delved deep into the online world of Jurassic conspiracy theories, through a site called Dark Jurassic.
At the same time, the friends keep being stalked and attacked by a group of Atrociraptors.
Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that athletic Yaz has been struggling with PTSD from the island, which has put a strain on her relationship with girlfriend Sammy.
Many on X also praised the series’ realistic depiction of a panic attack as Yaz tries to touch a non-predatory dinosaur.
Somewhere along their journey, the gang eventually discovers that the Department of Prehistoric Wildlife, meant to protect people from the dinosaurs, is behind Brooklynn’s death.
The DPW also ran an illegal human trafficking operation, which Brooklynn attempted to infiltrate and stop.
They also discover that the Atrociraptors have a mysterious female companion, which explains why they keep encountering the predators.
Dozens of fans of Netflix’s Jurassic World shows came to X to praise the latest installment, in the form of the first seasons of Chaos Theory
In the final moments of the final episode, it is revealed that Brooklynn is still alive – just without one hand – and still trying to take down the DPW.
After dealing with the cliffhanger, dozens went to X to proclaim their enthusiasm for Chaos World.
“Holy crap Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is so good,” one person wrote.
“They really didn’t have to come out like that, but the Jurassic World chaos theory rocks,” praised a second.
